With the new "CS 5050" TCE introduces a gauge that can be used to set a toolmakers square edge like the "PL 3" to fixed angles of 1 or 2 degrees negative or positive.
For many years TCE is offering several tools to calibrate a toolmakers square edge, or a similar tool, to 90° exactly. But what if you don't want the bearing to be perpendicular? But slighly negative or slightly positive in order to control the flow of aluminium?
The "CS 5050" is a block gauge, made of a high alloy and wear resistant tool steel. Its dimensions are approximately 50x50x10mm and it is therefore a very practical size for daily usage. All four corners of the gauge are ground to four different angles, resp. 89°, 91°, 88° and 92°.
